Adam Hommey, known to his friends as “Adam Robert Hommey, MBA, The Website Surgeon(tm)”, is a zany, fun-loving internet geek who uses technical terms like “404ed” and “server-side include methodology” in everyday conversation. He has been involved with website design and development since the mid-1990s, back when “Frames or no frames?” was the question of the day and a “sophisticated” site had lots of animated GIFs and rich, textured backgrounds. Yes, he had one of those. No, it’s no longer online.

Having founded Assess Communicate in 2003 as a “side gig,” Adam found his calling as an entrepreneur and business owner and escaped the corporate world very soon after. Over the past three years, he has overseen the development of over two hundred internet marketing related websites and has implemented numerous online marketing and traffic-driving strategies.

Making the transition from “solopreneur” to business owner, Adam has expanded Assess Communicate into a powerful virtual webmaster firm providing exclusive webmaster services to internet marketers ranging from just-starting-out beginners to marketers who have been in the game since before the World Wide Web became accessible to most of the world.

Adam grew up near bright, sunny Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now lives in a nice suburban neighborhood where he has a really big balcony. When not fiddling around with shopping carts, blogs, and forums, or fearlessly leading the Speakerphone Revolution, he loves to go to the park, hit the gym with a vengeance, take road trips in his fast car, listen to the music he grew up with (80s stuff, if you’re trying to guess his age), watch gangster flicks, study European history (18th through 20th Century), get lost on the Wikipedia until 4:00 AM on a school night (reading about European history, circa 1789-1989 or so), kick ass at Texas Hold’Em, and/or indulge his passion as a cigar aficionado. Sometimes three or more of these at once.

The “MBA” in “Adam Robert Hommey, MBA, The Website Surgeon” comes from Duquesne University, where he concentrated in Human Resource Management – an area of study that has taken a unique turn via his passion for virtual team building. He did the undergrad stuff at Pennsylvania State University (known as “Penn State” to most of you), majoring in Political Science with dual minors in History and Middle East Studies.
