If you are using Spam Assassin, add the sender’s e-mail address to the Whitelist in your User Preferences by:
- Searching your hard drive for the SpamAssassin folder, then opening it.
- In the folder you will find a file named “user_prefs.” Open it with a text editor such as Notepad. If you don’t see a file by that name, you can create it. Click here to learn how
- Making a new (blank) line in the “user_prefs” file. On that line, enter whitelist_from followed by the sender’s e-mail address so it reads like this: whitelist_from mail@domain.com.
- You can also whitelist the sender’s domain by adding another line that reads like this: whitelist_from *@sparkingwire.com
- Save the “user_prefs” file and close it.
